This is a perfect time in the summer for people to get into the pool. In the midst of pool weather, there’s nothing more invigorating than to let your hair down, grab a towel, and dive straight into the water, soaking everything in.
Oh, and by the way, we are still very much interested in your thoughts about this. It’s not just because we are huge fans of your awesome Twitter account, but because the tweets are so great.
So, while we know we could never get in the water without a towel, we also know that if we do, and we can’t get in the water, we will be completely soaked. We think its kind of funny, and maybe even a little bit cool, to see a woman on the beach soaking herself in the hot summer sun.
The same thing could apply to the sand. If you can’t swim, or you have the strength not to, you can soak yourself in the sand. This is similar to the “towel” concept that we see in many of your tweets, only with the added bonus that you can also carry on your back.
The “towel” concept was a pretty big deal when I was in high school. I think a friend of mine made a blog out of it, so we’re just going to go ahead and call it a blog, even though it isn’t. A towel was a big deal back then. I think there was even a big deal when I was in high school when I couldn’t take my new leather jacket with me to school because I was too lazy to put it on.
I was talking with a co-worker today and she was telling me about her experiences with the new cloth towel you can buy at Wal-Mart. For like, $7.99, it holds a lot of towels and it comes in a bunch of different colors and it has a lot of features, but the big one is it is made of a kind of polyester-like material.
I was talking to a friend today about the new towel I had. He has a similar one but he doesn’t have the polyester material. He has the normal vinyl fabric and it’s a helluva lot more expensive than the new one.
I think a big part of the problem with new towels is that people feel like they have to buy them. They feel like the new ones are a “better” towel because the fabric is made of polyester and the towel you’ve got is a vinyl. I guess I’m not saying all towels are better but I do think that the way people buy them is a big contributing factor to the issue.
A lot of people feel like they have to purchase a new towel because they feel like they own the same towel as everyone else. Like someone who has been using the same brand of towel since college and never once owned a different brand. I’ve had a lot of people tell me that they own the same towel I have because they have the same fabric. That might not be true for everyone, but for us it’s a pretty common belief.
The problem is that the majority of towels are sold in “two-pack” sizes, which limits the options for people who have more than one towel. In the past, people would have been able to buy a “diamond” size of towel. These days you either have to buy a towel that’s two-pack size or a towel that’s half-pack size, which means you cant buy towel that are larger than the standard size.
