This is my third recipe for a homemade tomato sauce. It’s simple, yet versatile. It’s almost everything you need for this recipe, from the tomato sauce to the tomato purée. I think it’s perfect for all summer.

The tomato sauce we make here is basically tomato puree. It comes together in a little blender, allowing the tomato juice to blend with the other ingredients. You can also add any type of tomato to the puree, however you like. I love the idea of this sauce. If you don’t have a blender, then simply blend the puree in a food processor.
In the puree, the tomatoe juice, garlic, olive oil, and spices. The last step, to cook the sauce for a few minutes in the microwave oven, gives the tomato puree a nice flavor. I like to use a food processor for this because it makes the job of blending so much easier.
So the tomato juice will give the sauce a nice flavor, but it doesn’t have to be blended. You can also add a bit of garlic and you can also add more of the spices to your blend. The only thing you really can’t do is add too much. Since I use a food processor for this recipe, any extra mixture added will most likely end up clumping together.
It can also serve as a nice vegetable base, with the tomatoes being the main ingredients, and the cabbage being chopped up for a nice crisp texture. But there are also other vegetables you can use in place of the cabbage, like onions and mushrooms as well.

You can, however, try making them yourself a couple of ways. First, you can roast the jeremies in a dehydrator. You’ll get them a bit crisper and they will add a nice sweetness to your mix.
